#62 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team PH Motorsports is currently planning on competing in 3-4 NASCAR Nationwide Series races this season, while continuing to find funding for its NASCAR Sprint Cup Series operation for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Nationwide races the team will attempt are TBA.
PH Motorsports and other race teams are currently in talks to merge its
operations to run more races in the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series Season.
Currently there are 42 teams competing full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. This is the best time for a beginning company to sponsor a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team like PH Motorsports, the reason is the chance of making the race and getting more media exposure is much higher than what it was one or two years ago. The reason why it is easier to make these NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races is due to the economy and teams losing there funding for the season. Teams like PH Motorsports are the best teams to get into the sport with because they can provide better more affordable sponsorship packages for a company who is feeling the effects of the current economy.
